Slow Start
I don't think I got enough sleep.
Current Status:
It took me several attempts last night, but I was able to solo the Stay Unfrosty achievement in the Frozen Out story instance in Guild Wars 2.
Just to memorialize it for future reference, the "git gud" answers in the forum and on Reddit were very unhelpful. Not least because if you get unlucky and suffer a knockdown you can't dodge the attack.
The "just AFK at the top of the cliff" answers were also not super helpful because Garm and Braham don't move around enough to make the boss run over the mobs. They reach a steady state almost immediately it seems. I let it go for a while and when I came back all the adds were still alive.
What did work is using the glider to get to the rocks with the mushrooms around the edge of the room. They don't get pelted with rocks, and the boss can't target you for the freezing effect when you are on them. It still takes a little luck, as getting the last few adds can be tricky, and you could get super unlucky when you make a run for the scroll.
