I just want a Static Site Discourse Obsidian in Zola. Is that so wrong?

I can already see that I need more of a "Digital Garden" thing, especially one with backlinks and wikilinks. I'm exploring options on it. I also think I want Zola instead of Eleventy because Node annoys me.

Quartz is a tool to create the kind of static site I really want, but uses Node instead of Rust like I'd like. It's a better choice than Eleventy Notes though. If for no other reason than it's on version 4 and is still actively developed.

Is what I want what they call a Digital Garden? Maybe, maybe not.

The Institute's co-founder would have been very interested in this.
