Can I Unfurl or Embed?

Dear God npm is frustrating.

Up early for whatever reason. Listless this morning and feeling some type of way about my brother not making the Brimley/Cocoon Line..

Obsessed with System Process Form by MuirMcNeil. Too bad it's 90 bones.

I guess 2.9 winters is a fair amount of time for a $115 heater to last, but it's also a little inconvenient to need a new one for only a few weeks.

Did I get Unfurl working? Let's find out.

I decided to get Embed Everything working too. Did I?

Looks like yes. Just have to remember not to put the URL on the last line of a post.

I'm unhappy with the default format from Unfurl. I'm used to Oneboxing in Discourse which works great. I didn't realize it was going to be such a struggle. (Of course, everything is I'm finding. Unmaintained libraries, etc. The Usual.) The laissez-faire, it's-all-just-vibes approach is probably the only way for a single-maintainer project like Eleventy, but never knowing if npm install --save-dev some_plugin is going to result in something useful or a bunch of warnings from Node about deprecated libraries is frustrating.

Regardless of my grousing, the single-maintainer in question did point me in the right direction.

But that wasn't quite it either. I wanted something like a Onebox, so I channeled my inner Tom Peters, went over to the Discourse site and Swiped From the Best With Pride™.

It's not great, and the CSS is a disaster, but it's more or less what I wanted.

That will have to do for today. Now to merge to main and publish.

Saving a couple of things for later.

I feel like I'll want icons at some point.

I also think I want something like this.

On second thought, that's not really what I'm after either. I really need to get the film festival going on Eleventy Notes and see if I like that better.
